National Health Ministries aging website now online
A new Internet Web site aimed at getting Presbyterians 50 and over on the road to healthy aging has been launched by the National Health Ministries (NHM) office of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
Living Longer, Feeling Better features health and wellness resources to assist older adults in achieving and maintaining good health. It also examines vital roles congregations can play in helping aging members stay fit by keeping them involved in the church and its activities.
Presbyterian Communities celebrates fifty years of ministry
The Summerville campus of the Presbyterian Communities accepted the first residents in January, 1958. Today, five continuous care campuses offer care throughout South Carolina.
If you would like to do something special for one of the campuses, click here. Each campus’ wish list is in this special edition of Community Connections.
Presbyterians Today wants your church!
To celebrate the rich variety of ministries going on across the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), Presbyterians Today is featuring profiles of individual congregations. If you think that your church should be featured in the magazine, please send information and 3x5 photos to today@pcusa.org. Is there something unique about the church? Does it have a long history? Unusual location? Creative worship? Is it actively engaged in a mission project? What stands out about this congregation? For more information, go to www.pcusa.org/today.
It’s a soul issue
Read the comments of Rev. Joan Gray, moderator of the 217th General Assembly on the "storage crisis" and the soul issue that we each face, and the plans for dealing with the crisis.
