A few youth leader spots available
ACT NOW!!  There are a few more spots left for New Harmony Presbyterian youth leaders to register for the March 3-4, 2008, Leader of Leaders event, "God's Space:  Youth Ministry Beyond Sunday Nights."  Gina Yeager-Buckley, associate for ministries with youth for the PC (USA), will lead the event. 

Leader of Leaders events are sponsored by the five presbyteries of South Carolina.  Registrations are by presbyteries.  Click here to get the brochure and register with Julie Cox.  Presbytery pays 1/3 up to $30.00 per person.

Are you interested in being a Congregational Transformation Coach?
A training event for persons interested in begin Congregational Transformation Coaches will be held in two parts.  Part I, “Foundations for Christian Leadership Coaching” will be April 21-22, 2008.  Part II, “Processes for Congregational Transformation” will be May 19-20, 2008.

Solo Pastor to Multi-Staff -  March 30-April 4 – moving from a pastor centered church to a program church.

Associate Pastors Conference – March 31-April 3 – theological reflection, spiritual renewal, and practical revitalization for associate pastors.

Arts & Sabbath: the Montreat Artists Series – April 20-24 – balance immersion in an art form (no experience needed with Sabbath time for rest and enjoyment.

San Antonio is site of Ninth National Multicultural Conference
April 10-13, 2008, the National Multicultural Conference will echo the Isaiah’s call for “all nations and tongues” to gather and experience God’s Good News.  The theme focuses on evangelism in a multicultural setting. 

The Rev. Martha Grace Reese, one of the keynote speakers, president of Grace Net, Inc., and author, “gently put persistently lures the Mainline back to the ministry of evangelism as the heart of the church.”  Each participant will receive a copy of her book, Unbinding the Gospel:  Real Life Evangelism. 

“Show Up and Shelve It” – Resource Center Day – February 23
After the “flood” when the resources returned from their storage, they were put on the shelves by the storage people.  They did a great job of putting them in the correct numerical sections.  However, the resources are not in the shelf order within those sections.

Saturday, February 23, 10 am – 2 pm, we will have “Show Up and Shelve It” time in the Resource Center of the Presbytery office.  You are invited to come and help us get the material back in the correct order.

Danny Murphy at Hopewell – Saturday, February 16
Did you get some good ideas you can use at your Church from Danny Murphy’s “Five Keys to Congregation Transformation” workshop at the Ephesians event?  Do you have questions you did not get answered?

Maybe you did not get to the event or Danny’s workshop.  Or, you might want to have others from your church attend.

Here is an opportunity for you and others from your Session to experience Danny’s leadership.
